High-Temperature Maskant for Thermal-Spray Coatings

SpeedMask® 750 maskant is resilient to blast media and offers excellent surface protection during higher temperature thermal spray coating, plasma spray, HVOF processes, and also aggressive grit blasting. The product’s bright pink color provides visual confirmation that the precise amount of material is being dispensed onto components prior to cure. This maskant cures tack-free to form hard, durable bonds on substrate surfaces, including orthopedic implants.

The masking resin is easily removed by incineration in an air furnace at a minimum temperature of 650°C [1200°F]. The material can also be removed from the coated substrate after short exposures to warm water (60°C +) or warm air. This exposure will soften the maskant and allow for easier removal. 750 is recommended for surfaces such as nickel alloys, titanium alloys, and cobalt chrome.

Dymax materials have no solvents added and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax lamps offer the optimum balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures.

This maskant is in full compliance with the RoHS2 Directives 2015/863/EC.
